Robin Ortiz, Bookkeeping

Robin has been working in the public accounting field since 2003, and has been doing bookkeeping for small businesses since 1999. She began her bookkeeping career while working for a small fiber optics supply company in Denver. Her work included bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, accounts payable administration, billing and accounts receivable functions, and using Peachtree software. Robin was also responsible for customer service and office management. In 2003 she began working for two accounting firms simultaneously, Business Control Systems and Leigh A. Hogan CPA. At both of these accounting firms she performed bookkeeping functions for multiple small business accounts, while also dealing directly with the business owners. Her duties included data entry, account reconciliations, payroll tax preparation and compliance, sales tax preparation and compliance, and customer service. In January 2004 Robin began working for Leigh A. Hogan CPA, PC exclusively, and has increased her duties to include general ledger maintenance, budgeting, cash flow management for high-dollar clients, training clients to use specific accounting software, and creating organized accounting procedures. Robin is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor for QuickBooks Online. She also serves as the office manager as well as the office Notary Public.

Robin obtained an Associate of Arts degree from Community College of Aurora, and attended the University of Colorado at Denver.
